Specific Admission Requirements

Students should have ALES scores, undergraduate or graduate GPA scores, paper-pencil test scores. Interview or paper-pencil test was conducted by the Departmant.

Qualification Requirements

In order to enter final exam, students have to be involved in 70 % of theoric and 80 % of application courses. In order to be successful in one course, students have to take CC (70-74) score. Students were required to be successful at least 7 courses, except Specialization Field Course and 1 seminar and thesis study. Recognition of Prior Learning

Students who take courses at different universities as "graduate student" and whose registration is deleted, apply to Institu by Institu Science Council at the first week of semester in order to recognition of the courses. The recognition of courses and when students were required to start to education; total credits of courses in educational programs of recognized and successful notes were calculated is calculated by taking into account the number of semester courses correspond. History

This program was established at 2014-2015 fall semester under Educational Sciences Institute.

Profile of the Programme

The purpose of this program is to make helpful for obtaining, evaluating, interpreting and applying qualifications of knowledge by extending and deeping the knowledge at specification of undergraduate degree qualifications. Also, this program is formal education.

Program Outcomes

1- Undergraduate qualification and based on their level of expertise in the field of educational science, has theoretical and practical knowledge, develops and deepens this information.
2- Discusses the interaction between the disciplines that comprise the primary teaching field.
3- Uses information in the field of primary teaching and in the field of theory and practice, develops and deepens this information.
4- Creates new information based on Interdisciplinary approach.
5- Problems that require expertise in the relevant field using scientific research methods and process solutions brings.
6- Solves the problems in the area of primary teaching based on the steps of problem-solving process.
7- Develops new strategies and solutions when encounter unexpected situations and takes responsibility.
8- In individual and team work, taking an active role to fulfill their responsibilities, produces solutions to problems they face.
9- Has metacognitive awareness to critically evaluate information about the area and directs learning.
10- Continues to work in his/her field by taking into consideration of the framework of lifelong learning.
11- Transfers developments in the field of primary teachers and their work, in the field and outside groups, by written, oral and visual forms.
12- Uses a foreign language at least at the level of European Language Portfolio B2 and use verbal and written communication.
13- Shares of oral and written studies related to their field in national / international levels.
14- Effectively uses computer software required by the discipline of information and communication technologies.
15- Reviews plans and Issues related to the field of primary teaching strategies, policies and implementation, evaluate the results in the context of quality processes.
16- Uses social, scientific and ethical values related to the field of data collection, interpretation and dissemination.
17- Uses knowledge acquired in the field of primary teaching in interdisciplinary settings.
18- Evaluates current developments in line with national values and realities of the country.
19- Develops implementation plans about issues related to the field of strategy, policy and implementation and the results obtained are evaluated in the context of quality process.

Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading

Exams are consisted of midterm, final and make-up exam. These exams could be oral, written, oral-application, written-application. For every course, at least one midterm is conducted at the semester. Midterm and final exam rates are determined at the begining of each semester according to Instituti Administration Council by instructor of the course or the suggestions of the instructors having doctorate degree in senate. Students graduates according to Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Graduate Regulations.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates

When students were graduated, they work as elementary teacher at schools in Ministry of National Education . Also, they give courses at undergraduate and graduate level.

Access to Further Studies

The graduates holding master's degree are eligible to apply to Doctorate degree if they have sufficient ALES and YDS scores.
