Specific Admission Requirements

Students will be accepted in accordance with the provisions of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Graduate Education Regulation. To have a master's degree in a branch of science or art approved by the Institute's Board of Directors, At least 55 standard points from ALES or the equivalent of at least one of the exams accepted by the Interuniversary Board. They must have at least 55 points from the YDS or at least the equivalent of national and international foreign language exams accepted by the Interuniversity Board.

Qualification Requirements

In order to obtain a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, students must successfully complete all compulsory and elective courses (total 240 ECTS) and achieve a GPA of at least 3.0 out of 4.00.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of prior learning in Turkish higher education institutions is at an early stage. Therefore, recognition of prior learning in all programs of Muğla University has not been fully initiated. However, exemption exam is held at the beginning of each academic semester for courses such as Computer and English which are included in the training plans of the programs. Students who think that these courses provide the expected learning outcomes have the right to take the exams. Students who pass the exam are exempted from the related course.

History

The School of Business Administration which was opened in Muğla in 1974-1975 academic year by the Economic and Commercial Sciences Academy in Muğla and connected to Dokuz Eylül University in 1982 with YÖK Law, was established in December 1992 with the establishment of Muğla University and transformed into İİBF with the establishment of Muğla University. In the 1992-1993 academic year, regular education began in the 1994-1995 academic year. The language of instruction of the faculty is Turkish.

Profile of the Programme

Department of Business Administration; The aim of this course is to provide the students who are studying in the undergraduate and graduate programs to acquire the information required by modern politics and management science and to create the infrastructure that they will need to work in their fields after graduation. On the other hand, it is another aim of our department to contribute to the production of knowledge, to have a participatory, sharing, original values ??and a contemporary culture of education and work. In this context, it is primarily aimed that our students become preferred individuals in the region and in the country at the level of education, training and research, who adopt the principle of team work, and who are oriented towards solving the problems of the region and the country and who are respectful to national and universal values. Students who graduate from our department are encouraged to have the knowledge, skills and motivation to succeed in the private sector as well as in all areas of the public sector, and in this context, to develop their human capital through lifelong learning practices.

Program Outcomes

1- It develops current and advanced knowledge in the field of business administration at the level of master degree with the help of original thought and / or research and deepens it and reaches original definitions that will bring innovation to the field. Gains the ability to apply this knowledge in the fields of management and organization, production management and marketing, accounting and finance.
2- Comprehends the interaction of business area with related disciplines and draws original conclusions by using knowledge requiring expertise in analyzing, synthesizing and evaluating new and complex ideas.
3- To be able to transfer his / her knowledge to his / her team colleagues, to interpret these information analytically and systematically, to be able to analyze, to identify problems and to offer solutions.
4- Performs independent studies on subjects that require expertise within the science of business administration. He / she takes responsibility for projects where he / she is a participant or participant. Determines the vision and goals for the organization.
5- Critically evaluates the knowledge and skills acquired in the field of business administration.
6- Communicates effectively with his / her stakeholders in written and orally.
7- Using a foreign language closely monitors developments in the world related to the field of business and communicates verbally and in writing with those concerned.
8- Use computer software, informatics and technologies at the level of data entry and analysis.
9- Understands the legal, social and ethical responsibilities of working life. It carries out its work in accordance with these responsibilities.
10- Develop a strategic plan and develop strategies for the organization.
11- Makes originality and contribution in the studies to be done in the field of business. Has enough consciousness about the universality of social rights, social justice, quality and cultural values, environmental protection, occupational health and safety. He acts with this consciousness in his work.
12- He is eager to seek change and innovation in his work life.

Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading

Each student must register for courses at the beginning of the semester and must attend at least 70% of the courses in order to be able to take the final exam. At least 1 midterm exam, final exam and unsuccessful students are subject to make-up exams for each course. The grade of the midterm exam is 50% and the final exam is 50%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. At the end of the semester, the grade must be at least 75 for each course. Students taking one of the letter grades (AA), (BA), (BB) and (CB) are considered successful.

Graduation Requirements

In order to complete the program successfully, it is required to pass all the courses available in the program, to obtain a weighted grade point average of at least 3.00 out of 4.00 and to complete the doctoral thesis successfully.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates

Our graduates also have the ability to work in universities as academic and administrative staff. Our graduates can also work in private sector organizations.
