Specific Admission Requirements

Students who will be accepted to the program must have at least 2.60 undergraduate graduation average and at least 40 points from the YDS and equivalent to the other foreign language examinations accepted by YÖK.

Qualification Requirements

In order to obtain a master's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Management and Organization , students must successfully complete all the compulsory and elective courses (total of minimum 90 ECTS) and obtain a GPA of at least 2.5 out of 4.00.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of prior learning in Turkish higher education institutions is at an early stage. Therefore, recognition of prior learning in all programs of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University has not been fully initiated.

History

The School of Business Administration, which was opened in Muğla by the Economic and Commercial Sciences Academy of Ankara since 1974-1975 academic year and connected to Dokuz Eylül University in 1982 with YÖK Law, was established im December 1992. The formal education began in the 1992-1993 academic year, and evening education began in the 1994-1995 academic year as well. The language of instruction of the faculty is Turkish.

Profile of the Programme

The aim of the programme is to provide the information required to the students by the modern management science and to create the infrastructure that they will need to work in their fields of study after graduation. On the other hand, it is another aim of our department is to contribute to the production of knowledge, to have a participatory, sharing, original values ??and a contemporary culture of education and work. In this context, it is primarily aimed that our students become preferred individuals in the region and in the country at the level of education, training and research, who adopt the principle of team work, and who are oriented towards solving the problems of the region and the country and who are respectful to national and universal values. Students who graduate from our department are encouraged to have the knowledge, skills and motivation to succeed in the private sector as well as in all areas of the public sector, and in this context, to develop their human capital through lifelong learning practices.

Program Outcomes

1- Develop and deepen knowledge of management and organization qualifications at the undergraduate level at the level of expertise. This knowledge gained the ability to practice at the level of management and organization expertise.
2- It explains the interaction of the disciplines with which the management and organizational field are related.
3- To be able to transfer knowledge and experience about management and organization to teammates, to interpret and analyze this information analytically and systematically, to identify problems and to offer solutions.
4- Evaluates the skill and skill critically about management and organization field.
5- It conducts independent studies on the subjects within the scope of management and organization. Responsibility for projects in which the executive or participant is present. He sets a vision and goal for the organization he is in charge of.
6- He / she communicates his / her thoughts and suggestions in written and verbally on topics that are experts and communicates effectively with stakeholders.
7- A foreign language communicates verbally and in writing using the European Language Portfolio B2 at the general level.
8- Uses advanced computer software and information and communication technologies at the level required by the study area.
9- Acquire the legal, social and ethical responsibilities of working life. This responsibility analyzes the relationships with the stakeholders involved and conducts them effectively.
10- Provides originality and contribution in the work to be done in management and organization field.
11- The universality of social rights, social justice, quality and cultural values and environmental protection, occupational health and safety have sufficient consensus. They act consciously in their work.

Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading

Each student must register for courses at the beginning of the semester and must attend at least 70% of the courses in order to be able to take the final exam. At least 1 midterm exam, final exam and unsuccessful students are subject to make-up exams for each course. The grade of the midterm exam is 50% and the final exam is 50%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. The final exam grade must be at least 70. Students taking one of the (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB) and (CC) letter grades from a course are considered successful.

Graduation Requirements

Occupational Profiles of Graduates

Our graduates specialized in management and organization have the opportunity to find jobs in management and management consultancy companies in the public and private sector with the titles of expert and consultant. They can also have their own business in these areas. They can be employed in all public and private sectors. Our graduates can also work as academic staff in universities.

Access to Further Studies

Candidates who have successfully completed a master's degree with a thesis can continue their studies in doctoral programs provided that they obtain a valid score from ALES and have sufficient knowledge of foreign languages.
