Specific Admission Requirements

• To have graduated from the Fine Arts Education Department of Education Faculties, Department of Painting Education, or to have graduated from the Painting Department of Fine Arts or Art and Design Faculties and have pedagogical formation (Candidates who do not have pedagogical formation will be admitted to the program on the condition that they complete the scientific preparation program). • Undergraduate graduation grade to be at least 70 out of 100 or at least 2.70 out of 4 full marks. • Having received 55 points from any score type of ALES. • To have at least 60 points from the field science exam

Qualification Requirements

The graduation of the graduate student who successfully completes the credit courses and master's thesis is decided by the IAC.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Students who take courses in a higher education institution and who are enrolled in postgraduate student status apply to the Institute through the Institute Branch of the Institute in the first week of each semester in order to recognize the courses they take. The number of semesters corresponding to these courses is calculated by taking into account the credits of these courses and the semester in which the student should start the education, the total credit of the courses in the education-training program and the credits of the semester. This period shall be deducted from the maximum education period specified in the article 44 of the Law and the semester shall be determined by the Graduate School Administrative Board according to the opinion of the Graduate School Board. History

The program started its education in the Department of Fine Arts Education in MSKU Kötekli Campus, by accepting students as of the 2023-2024 Fall semester.

Profile of the Programme

The aim of this program is to train individuals who contribute to universal knowledge, make innovative researches and produce service to the society, are sought in national and international fields, and provide services to humanity with their education, research and practices, by receiving a good field and vocational training in the education process.

Program Outcomes

1- Explains the theories of art education.
2- Adopts the principle of raising individuals who research, think and produce new ideas.
3- Can evaluate any artwork in its own context.
4- Explains the developmental features of children's pictures and analyzes them on the picture.
5- Can produce original art works.
6- Students will be able to use the concepts and methods related to the field of art in their scientific and artistic studies.
7- Acts in accordance with human rights, scientific-artistic ethics and the law of ideas and works of art.
8- Investigates the developments related to art education with the other disciplines by scientific method and technique.
9- Questions, analyzes and interprets the basic concepts of visual culture
10- Can contribute to the literature by developing theory and application knowledge.
11- Can follow and criticize today's local and universal art movements.
12- Can establish the relations of art movements with other disciplines in the historical process with a dialectical method.

Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading

The evaluation methods and techniques for each course and the contribution rates of the exams to success are determined by the instructor, but the success in the course; all colleges, faculties and institutes in the university and other units affiliated to the rectorate are determined by the relative system.

Graduation Requirements

Our students will be considered successful from theoretical courses with a grade point average of 70 and above (with a grade of 2.7 in a grade) of 100 from the compulsory and elective courses determined in two semesters in the first year. In the second year, the student program will be completed with the condition that the thesis will be prepared by the scientific committee.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates

Graduates can be employed as Visual Arts Teachers in public and private schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. They can work as academicians in universities, art consultants in various institutions and organizations, public or private galleries. As freelance artists, they can give training in their own workshops.

Access to Further Studies

Students must pass the exams at least by 60 (of 100) to pass to courses

Mode of Study

The purpose of the program; Both as an academician and as a teacher, those who can analyze developments in art education using scientific methods and techniques, contribute to the literature by developing their theory and practice, research, think and produce new ideas as a principle, can produce and exhibit original works of art. A person who acts in accordance with human rights, scientific-artistic ethical principles and the law on intellectual and artistic works, understands, questions and interprets the basic concepts of visual culture and can bring new approaches to these concepts in social, scientific, artistic, cultural and educational contexts, and lives with the awareness of social responsibility. To contribute to the training of individuals who can plan professional projects and art activities for the environment and who have mastery of art education theories.
