Qualification Awarded
The students who have successfully completed all compulsory and elective courses that must be taken within the curriculum and who have earned enough credits will receive their associate degree diplomas and graduate with the title of carpets and rugs technician.
Specific Admission Requirements
Students will be accepted according to YGS 4 in University Higher Education Examination, which ÖSYM has done to students. It is required to be students who have drawing ability and hand skill related to carpeting and kiliming.
Qualification Requirements
Use and possibility of the Traditional Handicrafts Program of Milas Vocational School Workshop, computer laboratories and classrooms Student recruitment required. Recognition of Prior Learning

History
Traditional Handicrafts Programme received its first students in the 2013-2014 academic year. Handicrafts Associate Degree Programme is a two-year-programme which consists of 4 semesters. The programme aims to move traditional art works to the universal platform on the basis of the art structure and past values of Turkish society, to train professional individuals by promoting their analyzing, classifying, and presenting skills, and to encourage the students in their academic and social life during whole education period. The programme works on preparing technicians who have the contemporary vocational education qualifications and who are preferred on the national and international platform.
Traditional Handicrafts Programme has adopted appropriate understanding of the art of the past to contemporary art in a variety of art, according to his art the right materials, design and application information by using the original design equipped to perform the students will be trained. Young artists grew up here, dominate the traditional art culture, rich historical heritage, aware, able to build a bridge between past and future knowledge will contribute to society will be original works of art and aesthetics with people.

Profile of the Programme
Vocational Higher education is a four-semester higher education institution that provides practical training aimed at cultivating intermediate human resources for specific occupations.
This program is a 2-year higher education program aimed at cultivating human resources with contemporary knowledge and technology that can perform traditional handicraft profession or to take responsibility for traditional handicraft activities of public and private enterprises or to open a business place on its own behalf.

Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading
excuse exam, the integrated exam, the exemption exam, and the one-course exam. Midterm exams: At least one midterm exam is given for the courses opened in each semester. Final Examination: At the end of the semester the course is done to determine the success of the student from the completed courses. The general application for the contributions of the examinations is 40% of the midterm exam score and 60% of the final exam score. However, the contributions of the midterm and final exams to the course grade can be determined at different rates by the instructors conducting the courses. Exemption Exams: Students who are unable to take midterm or final exams due to a just and valid excuse are entitled to make-up exams by the relevant board of directors. In order to be accepted for the excuse examination, the applicant must apply to the dean / directorate within 3 days from the day when the excuse is made with a petition that bases his excuse on the documents and the excuse must be accepted by the related administrative board. Integrated exams: At the end of the final exams, the students can take FD or FF grades and take the DD or DC grades and take the makeup exams. The grade taken in the Integrated examination is replaced by the final grade of the course. Contribution shares of the midterm exam and the integrated exam are calculated as if they were in the final exams. In courses that are put to make-up exam, regardless of the previous achievement grade, the last grade is taken as the basis. Exemption Exams: These are held on the dates specified in the academic calendar for the courses set by the Senate. Single Course Exam: Students who fulfill the continuing requirement for graduation but fail the single course can take the odd one-course examination that they failed. According to the provisions of the Relative Evaluation System "Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education-Training Regulations", it entered into force with the Senate Decree No. 465/11 dated August 29,
Graduation Requirements
In order to successfully complete the carpet and lacquering program and obtain the associate degree, students must pass all the courses in the program, complete a 40-day professional internship and obtain a CGPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

They are employed by all public and private organizations according to their area. Graduates are awarded the title of "Technician" with their associate degree diploma. Our students who graduated from the program are also trained in carpets as instructors in factories, designers in private companies, training centers in public training centers, hobby workshops and art houses, as well as carpenters, trainees in leather factories, small enterprises producing clothing and household accessories they can work in the tourism industry in the making of souvenirs, in antique houses, in the museums, in addition to the collectors.
Access to Further Studies
Students who have completed the program and graduated will be entitled to register in a license department suitable for their graduation program if they are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam conducted by ÖSYM. The sections that can be completed with a vertical license from the program are; They can complete their bachelor's degree by giving classes in the Department of Traditional Turkish Handicrafts of Fine Arts faculties.
