Specific Admission Requirements

Qualification Requirements

Students who obtained 240 ECTS and average grade point of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 will be qualified for graduate.

Recognition of Prior Learning

The students who study at Mugla Sıtkı Koçman University may be exempt from some courses according to certain regulations. They may be exempt from the courses if the application is in time and the content is approved by the administrative board of the related vocational school/faculty/institute.

History

Department of Energy Systems Engineering has begun to undergraduate education in 2013-2014 academic year under Faculty of Technology .

Profile of the Programme

Aim of this programme is to train Energy Systems Engineers meets a need in any kind of power plant and high energy consumer plants. General perspective is to build up engineering knowledge and notion about production, transportation, storage and efficiency of energy.

Program Outcomes

1- University-industry cooperation in the energy field to improve
2- To cooperate in the field of domestic and overseas departments, to develop common strategies and projects
3- Know and apply the principles of quality of work life and productivity
4- Individual and as a team member to take responsibility, open-minded, open to criticism, constructive and self-confidence, effective and efficient work
5- Identify sources of energy and the economy of the area is very good, both locally and think globally, to apply what is learned
6- Interdisciplinary studies to be doing
7- The required level of energy sector to use computer programs

Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading

Passing grade is constituted with 40% of average of mid-term exams grade and 60% of final exam grade.

Graduation Requirements

Succeed in all the courses in the program (240 ECTS in total), the students are expected to get a grade point average of 2.00 out of 4.00.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates

A student graduated from Energy Systems Engineering can be employed in any energy production center and high energy consuming plant as energy systems engineer as well. Energy systems engineer can be employed also in governmental authorities such as EPDK, EIE, Energy Ministry, TEDAŞ and TAEK

Access to Further Studies

According to succesful completion of B.Sc. degree, students can continue to their education to grant M.Sc. or PhD. degrees in Energy Systems Engineering.
