Specific Admission Requirements

Students are intitled to have an undergraduate certificate/diploma, and having a score in ALES exam (55 points in EA)

History

Masters degree of general psychology was started in year 2002, at that time we can't have new students because of not having enough lecturers

Profile of the Programme

To educate students who are good at general psychology, and to give ability to our students in making scientific research

Program Outcomes

1- Improve his/her knowledge about the main fields of psychology (e.g. developmental psychology, clinical psychology, experimental psychology) in a masters degree.
2- Evaluate and criticize the psychological literatüre, involve in learning process actively, and have ability to make scientific research independently.
3- Establish the links between psychological knowledge and other related disciplines.
4- Analyze a psychological problem, develop a programme in order to solve that problem, and evaluate its consequences.
5- Prepare a research proposal in psychology, collect data, and report the results of that research by using scientific and ethical principles
6- Using a foreign language in order to read psychological literatüre, review it, and sharing that knowledge with his/her collegues.
7- Have ability to evaluate human behaviour by considering social, emotional, cognitive, and cultural sides of behaviour.

9- Have a high degree of statistical and methodical knowlegde for analysing psychological data.
10- Have comptence in publishing his/her scientific publications in national or international journals.
11- Use his/her knowlegde and ability to reach the goals in development of science.
12- Solve social and psychological problems in society by using scientific research methods.
13- Having a foreign language degree in B2 for masters, and C1 for doctorate (European Language Criterian) in order to communicate oral and written.
14- Use his/her knowledge effectively in computer and communication technology.

having minimum ECTS credits (90 ECTS) and being successful in their cources

Occupational Profiles of Graduates

Students who are graduated in general psychology masters can work for private or governments' offices in health, education, endustry, etc.

Access to Further Studies

Students who are finished their masters degree in general psychology can be the candidates for doctorate in any field of psychology doctorate
