Recognition of Prior Learning
At the beginning of each academic semester, exemption exams are held for common compulsory courses such as Basic Information Technology Usage, English, Turkish Language, and Atatürk's Principles and History of Turkish Revolution, which are included in the education plans of the programs in Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Fethiye Faculty of Business Administration Department of Business Administration. Students who think they provide the expected learning outcomes from these courses have the right to take the exams. Students who are successful in the exam are exempt from the relevant course in the curriculum.
Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Fethiye Faculty of Business Administration Department of Business Administration, students who register for the first time, if they apply within the first week of the academic year, the credits of the courses they have achieved in previous higher education departments/programs and the success grades they have received from these courses are transferred to the department and program they have registered with the decision of the relevant board of directors. The number of semesters that these courses correspond to is calculated by taking into account the total credits of the courses in the education-training program and the semester credits in the education-training program of the program in which the student enrolled. This period is deducted from the maximum education period specified in Article 44 of the Law, and the semester to which the student will be adjusted is determined by the decision of the relevant board of directors.
History
The establishment process of Fethiye Faculty of Business Administration was completed with the publication of the Council of Ministers Decree No. 2011/2260 in the Official Gazette dated October 24, 2011, numbered 28094. The Faculty has five departments: Economics and Finance, Business Administration, Tourism Management, International Trade and Logistics, and Management Information Systems. Since the 2014-2015 academic year, education activities have been carried out at the undergraduate level. The language of instruction of the department is Turkish.
Profile of the Programme
The Department of Business Administration aims to prepare and train human resources equipped with modern business administration, entrepreneurship and management formation and skills required by the public and private sectors. The department is responsible to the Dean of the Faculty and the Rectorate as a hierarchical structure and the relevant decisions of the department are finalized by sending them to the relevant boards of the Dean's Office and the Rectorate. It educates its students to be employed in many fields for the public and private sectors. The stakeholders with which the Department of Business Administration interacts can be summarized as CBRT, CMB, Ministry of Industry and Technology, Ministry of Labor and Social Security, Ministry of Treasury and Finance and various institutions and organizations affiliated to the Ministries, especially the Banking Sector, Universities, Research Institutions, Institutes. The Department of Business Administration strives to provide the best education and training services to its students with its qualified academic staff. Incentive supported projects are carried out in the department. As a department, it contributes to the intellectual scientific world with the academic studies carried out and to the employment market of our country and to the economic, social and cultural development of the region with the qualified students it graduates.

Students can conduct research and studies on subjects within the scope of business science. They take responsibility for projects in which they are the executor or participant. In addition, they can set goals and objectives for the organization in which they work. |
Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading
Exams consist of mid-terms, final exams, excuse exams, repeat exams, exemption exams and one course exam.
Mid-terms: There are mid-term exams for the courses that exist in every term. 40% of a mid-term exam is considered.
Final exams: There are final exams to test academic success at the end of the term. 60% of a final exam is considered.
Excuse exams: If a student has a valid excuse for the mid-term or final exams, related board allow for excuse exams. For the excuse exams, student must submit a petition, which explains the excuse, in 3 days to deanship/ management. Moreover, the excuse should be approved by related board.
Repeat exams: Students may take repeat exams for the courses, which are graded as FD or FF that they fail and which are graded as DD or DC that they pass, at the end of term. The point of a repeat exam substitutes for the final point of that course. The percentages of mid-term and repeat exams are assessed in the same way as final exams. For the repeat exams, final point is considered regardless of what was graded before.
Exemption exams: Exemption exams are set for the courses defined by the senate on the specified dates in academic calender.
One course exams: They are for the students who failed in one course and will graduate in case of succeeding in that course. Moreover, the students may take one course exam to increase their own average score, although they succeed all of the courses in the program, for the reason that they cannot graduate due to grade point average is less than 2,00. To take one course exam for graduation, a petition should be given to the head of department. One can take this exam only once.
For every course, students are graded at the end of the term as below by the lecturer of the course.

The assessments apart from the above, TT means failure becausse of absenteeism, MM means exemption for the course, GG success in course, KK means failure in the course, VV means abolished course. The students are graded as “TT” if they are absent in the courses and/or applied courses. The students, who succeed in Foreign Language Proficiency Exam, are exempt from the required foreign courses (English, German, French) and graded as “MM”. The students who succeed in Preparatory Foreign Language Program and internship graded as “GG”. The students who fail in Preparatory Foreign Language Program and internship graded as “KK”. For the courses which are abolished from the education program are graded as “VV” with the proposal of head of department and with the decision of board.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
The opportunities for graduates of the Department of Business Administration to find a job and acquire a profession are quite wide due to the practical applicability and usability of the courses in the education and training programs. Employment opportunities in the private and public sectors can be listed as follows: They can establish their own businesses in the fields of entrepreneurship, accountancy, financial consultancy, especially in banks, SMEs, and they can work as financial inspectors, Ministry of Industry and Technology, Ministry of Labor and Social Security, Ministry of Treasury and Finance, etc. They can take part in senior positions of public bureaucracy and other civil service positions in public institutions.
Access to Further Studies
Students who have successfully completed their undergraduate education can study in graduate programs such as thesis, non-thesis, formal education and distance education, provided that they get a valid grade from the ALES exam and have sufficient knowledge of English language and pass the relevant institutional exams.
Mode of Study
The study of Business Administration provides young people with a broad perspective on businesses' functions and decision-making processes. Graduates of our department work at various management levels in the public and private sectors. They can work in various fields, such as marketing, sales, accounting, finance, auditing, and human resources. Raising our students as future entrepreneurs is among the most important goals of the Department of Business Administration.
