Specific Admission Requirements

Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences As a graduate program in the field of Computer Science and Engineering, "Information Systems Higher Engineering" curriculum is implemented. Students who have successfully completed a bachelor's degree at Engineering Faculties, in departments of Information Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering can apply.

Qualification Requirements

Students must successfully complete to all lessons in the Master program of Information System Engineering. Their master thesis and semener studies should be acceppted.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Depending on the academic achievement status with the internal transfer programs, the students are accepted in the quotas determined at the beginning of the academic year.

History

Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Department of Information Systems Engineering started to give education in 2014-2015 academic year.

Profile of the Programme

Averagely 15 graduate students are accepted to our programme for each year in Spring / Fall semester.

Program Outcomes

1- Students in the engineering of information systems, recognize new technologies, software and communication tools developed and use effective information technologies.
2- In the projecting and production of information systems, students find unique and alternative solutions based on questioning, innovation, experiment / observation / implementation / reasoning and competitiveness.
3- Students colllect data for information technology with modern computers and mobile systems, analyze and model this data, and take optimal decisions at the end of the analysis.
4- Students identify appropriate hardware and software solutions for any industrial and / or business-related computing problem, according to the basic analytical thinking principles of computer and industrial engineering.
5- Students have sufficient accumulation of mathematics and science in the field of engineering systems of information systems, evaluate and interpret data using theoretical knowledge and application skills acquired, develop problem solving and solution proposals, and develop software and hardware technologies in the industry and service sector.
6- Students apply and develop the basic principles of engineering of information systems.
7- Students enable all kinds of information and data used in communication in technical, economic and social fields to be processed in a regular fashion, especially through electronic devices.
8- Students can take measures to ensure the security of information systems
9- Students have the ability to design a system, subsystem or process to meet requirements in the field of engineering
10- Students have scientific and ethical behaviours in the field, develop and lead in this sense
11- Students actively use the methods of information access required for lifelong learning
12- Students follow academic studies in their field for professional development, organize scientific and social events for the development of professional communication skills
13- Students can use a foreign language to track information about the area and collaborate with their colleagues
14- Students have the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary and a discipline project groups and have a sense of responsibility

Graduation Requirements

In order to get a thesis degree from the Department of Information Systems Engineering, a total of 42 credits of course and seminar course must be achieved in the curriculum program.

Our graduates conveniently have the oppurtunity of finding jobs which needs speciality on their study area.

Access to Further Studies

Candidates who have successfully completed the master's degree may apply to the doctorate program if they take valid grades from the Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES).
