Specific Admission Requirements

To take at least 55 from ALES and pass the science exam to be held before acceptance.

Qualification Requirements

To have successfully completed the 120.0 ECTS course in the Energy Master Program, the GPA is at least 3.00 out of 4.00 and the master's thesis is accepted.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Graduate transfer students due to their academic success, are accepted to our programme within quota determined at the beginning of the academic year.

History

The Energy Master program started education in the 2003-2004 academic year. It is a highly respected and preferred multi-disciplinary master's program in wide national and international collaboration.

Profile of the Programme

An average of 10 graduate students are admitted to our program each year. In addition, students are sent to and received from higher education institutions that provide education abroad with the ERASMUS exchange program, and the FARABİ exchange program. http://www.uik.mu.edu.tr/

Program Outcomes

1- able to express their original ideas, having the courage to approach in scientific skepticism when accessing every kind of information from different sources, having the awareness to question all kind of ideas
2- To improve university-industry cooperation in the energy field.
3- to cooperate with domestic and international programs and to improve strategies and projects.
4- both knowing and applying the principles of quality and productivity of business life
5- to take responsibility both individual and as a team member
6- to identify sources of energy and the economy of the area, be able to think both locally and globally and to apply what is learned
7- Be in accordance with inter-disciplinary studies
8- be able to use computer programs at the required level of energy field

Graduation Requirements

Occupational Profiles of Graduates

The energy department can take part in different job sites for the production of energy resources. It is aimed for the graduates to have a culture, innovative character, state-of-the-art technology and engineering skills that can solve all kinds of problems in the long term. One of these objectives is to provide an engineering culture that can create sustainable energy strategies and roadmaps for sustainability in a wide platform of cooperation and innovation. The Department of Energy, which conducts academic activities in cooperation with the industrial organizations in the region, converts the project studies required by the industrial organizations into graduate theses and offers an education compatible with the requirements of the era. It aims to provide an educational opportunity for the students to reinforce their academic subjects in the private sector.

Access to Further Studies

Candidates who have successfully completed their master's education can apply to the doctorate program if they get a valid grade from ALES.
