Specific Admission Requirements
The Department of Physics accepts graduated students from acceptable areas and students have to get enough points from ALES which is conducted by OSYM.
Qualification Requirements
Students are required to enroll 48 ECTS credits of the relevant courses and get 2.00 (over 4.00) grades in average, for graduation.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Students graduated from differents programs will be forced to get relevant courses in differents levels according to the suggestions of their advisor.
History
Master of science degree programme in physics has started in 1996 – 1997 academic year under Mugla Sitki Kocman University, Institue of Natural and Applied Sciences.
Profile of the Programme
Our graduates can serve in various organizations and companies, in research and development laboratories and at any place that measurement and physical analysis are necessary. In addition, PhD programs are available for those who aim to become a scientist or to specialize in certain areas of physics, including semiconductor and magnetic materials, atomic and molecular physics, and matematical physics.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Gratuated physicists can be deployed by National Education Ministry (NEM: MEB) as a physics teacher in the case of having teacher certificate and required KPSS score or by training center or private school. They can take various positions in computer sector. Graduate students can obtain work chances in university or other similar various corporations as an academician or researcher. Also, many public and private organisations can deploy as a technical employee such as quality control laboratories, TÜBİTAK, TAEK, TELEKOM, MTA, MKE and DSİ.
Access to Further Studies
Students who are graduated from MSc in Physics will start PhD programs if they have enough english level and enough points from ALES.
