Profile of the Programme

Program Outcomes

1- Student will be able to compare prominent philosophers and discuss their era
2- Student will be able to develop arguments, analyze texts, draw conclusions and also apply them on objective examples
3- Student will be able to investigate a philsophical problem and present it in an academic meeting
4- Student will be able to acquire essential knowledge regarding basic philosophical disciplines and history of philosophy in order to specialize to write an original PhD thesis.
5- Student will be able to acquire technical writing skills. Student also can distinguish pseudo-debates from real debates.
6- Student will be able to acquire fundamental knowledge which in turn will allow her to develop a field of specialization in philosophy - for instance a student who demands to specialize on philosophy of biology should also work on biology.
7- Student will be able to learn a required foreign language in order to review a specific literature- For instance a student who demands to study on German Idealists, should also learn advanced German
8- Student will be able to select a problem of philsophy and investigate it in full manner- that is that she can compare and contrast views.
9- Student will be able to investigate a basic philosophical problem, express different views, compare and show pros and cons of them
10- Student will be able to justify her views and also use logical tools in order to evaluate different views
11- Student will be able to analyze recent debates by means of her knowledge of history of philosophy; similarly interprate recent debates in different ways
12- Student will be able to identify philosophy as an activity critical thinking and apply her approach in everyday life problems
13- Student speak a foreign language at the level of B2 and also write philosophical texts
14- Student know required computer knowledge and use it in an advanced manner.
