Specific Admission Requirements

The Department of recreation takes students through the Master's examinations held annually.Aadays have valid grades and GPA from the Academic Staff and graduate education (Ales) exam.

Qualification Requirements

The total ECTS of the courses they have taken during their 2-year education is 120.

Recognition of Prior Learning

With the student's own application, the course content and course hours are evaluated by the adaptation commission formed by the main departments of which the student has previously studied.

History

Today, there are more than 15 recreation departments in Turkey.

Profile of the Programme

In the field of recreation education, to train “recreation expert scientists” who are able to adapt to mobility as a social science and service field by including culture, art, physical exercise and sports activities.

Program Outcomes

1- Knows the basic concepts related to recreation area, follows and uses current developments.
2- Know the basic skills, rules, techniques and principles necessary to perform physical activities, individual and team sports and cultural and artistic activities that can be used in recreation organizations, recognize and use the physical environment, tools and technologies that will be used in these activities.
3- It recognizes and uses information and communication technologies necessary for the planning and evaluation of recreation services.
4- Considering individual differences and environmental opportunities, the production of recreation services for all segments of society, management processes of analysis, planning, implementation, evaluation and re-enables editing.
5- In different disciplines associated with the Recreation Area (Tourism, local governments, therapy, education, etc.) have up-to-date knowledge of concepts, theories, principles and practices.
6- It follows the services of organizations serving in the field of recreation and works in cooperation with these organizations or independently.
7- It uses a foreign language at least at the general level of the European language portfolio B1 when providing recreation services at the international level.
8- It critically evaluates the knowledge and skills acquired in relation to recreation services and strives to renew and continuously improve its knowledge in its field by adopting a lifelong learning approach.
9- It adopts standards defined as a profession in the field of recreation and socially accepted ethical values.
10- Have innovative and entrepreneurial skills by following current developments in national and international level related to recreation services.
11- It has interpersonal and intercultural communication and group work skills to provide recreation services effectively.
12- It takes into account human health, social and natural environment, makes Occupational Safety and risk assessment while realizing its recreation expertise.

Midterm exam(s): 40%, Final Exam (s): 60 %

Occupational Profiles of Graduates

It has taken its place in the recreation department and has started to be accepted as a social science and service area by taking into account culture, art, physical exercise and sports activities. The general aim of the Department of recreation education program is to train scientists who manage “recreation specialists” who are capable of adapting to mobility, who have strong communication skills, who are able to follow contemporary and technological developments.

Access to Further Studies

Candidates who have successfully completed Master's degree can study in doctoral programs provided that they have passed the ales and YDS exam.

Mode of Study

Emphasis on the ethical rules, -Recreation, free time, time and specifications of the concepts of meaning and know-adaptation to everyday life which is the primary function of recreation, quality of life, satisfaction with free time and sufficient skills in raising the level of wellness, Recreation areas and other recreation programs for free which can understand the benefits and the relationship of time to prepare creative activity according to age groups and organize programs, recreation leadership and management leadership and understand the importance of each age group is capable of, It serves to protect the health and safety of the group knows how recreation management knowledge, skills and equipment, having the principle of the active life, that is related to scientific and technological developments in the Department of recreation in the world can follow, interpret results, and to be able to transfer into practice, the researcher feature, or recreation professionals who can collaborate with university research units to go further in providing the router to become.
