Doctor of Philosophy (PhD.) in the field of Woodworking Industrial Engineering
Specific Admission Requirements
The applications are evaluated by the Institute Administrative Board in accordance with the Mugla Sıtkı Koçman University Graduate Education and Examination Regulations and the successful candidates are accepted in accordance to considering the quotas announced.
Qualification Requirements
At least seven courses (42 ECTS) for the students admitted with a Master's degree, a specialization course, a seminar course, a proficiency exam, a thesis proposal and a thesis. The minimum graduation credit of the program is 180 ECTS for the students who are accepted as master's degree. In addition, students should be successful in seminar presentations, doctorate proficiency exam and thesis defense. The program consists of fourteen courses, a special field course, a seminar course, a proficiency exam, a dissertation proposal and a dissertation study. The minimum graduation credit of the program is 240 ECTS for the students admitted with a bachelor's degree. In addition, students should be successful in seminar presentations, doctorate proficiency exam and thesis defense.
History
The Ph.D. program in the Department of Woodworking Industrial Engineering has started to education in 2013-2014 academic year and still continues.
Profile of the Programme
Students are admitted to the Department of Woodworking Industrial Engineering (PhD) twice in a year, in the fall and spring semesters, and 1 to 5 students are admitted depending on the quota. In addition, with the ERASMUS exchange program the students are sent and received to higher education institutions providing education in the foreign country.
Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading
The measurement of the success of the courses taken within the scope of this program is based on the evaluation method of the related course, mid-term exam (mid-term), final exam, applications within the scope of the course, assignments, projects, presentations and thesis work.
