Students should pass the centrally administered entrance exam conducted by Student Selection and Placement Center (OSYM).

A student is required to successfully complete the designated program of courses meet a minimum of 240 ECTS credit requirement and have a minimum GPA of 2.00/4.00
Recognition of Prior Learning
Depending on the degrees awarded, theoretical or practical courses taken as part of a degree (completed or not completed) may lead to recognition of these as prior learning by the programme administration. The students who have taken courses in another institution in Turkey or abroad can ask for credit and grade transfer. The executive boards of relevant programme will decide on the courses to be transferred covering students' entire academic program once and for all with the condition that the request for transfer be made within the first week of the academic year, the requests cannot be repeated.
History
The Accounting and Finance Management department, which is a part of Seydikemer School of Applied Sciences, was opened offically in 2016. The department admitted its first group of students in the 2018-2019 Academic Year.
Profile of the Programme
Department of Accounting and Financial Management aims at training experts who has professional qualifications, knows foreign languages and has experience from practice to serve in public establishments and private sector enterprises.
Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading
The academic success in courses is determined by the evaluation of the grades in the mid-term and the final exams. In-term grades, quizzes, mid-term grades and grades related to the course are given to assignments, applications and practical work. In the credit system, the type and the weight of the evaluations (exams, homework, practice and so on) in the credit system are announced to the head of the related department within the first two weeks of the semester and announced to the students by the related teaching unit. The last evaluation is determined by one of the following letter grades by the instructor.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Graduates of our departmant can work as an accounting/financial director, accounting specialist, financial reporting specialist, budget and financial planning specialist, internal auditor, independent auditor, portfolio manager, manager responsible for cost accounting, member of board of finance inspectors, financial analyst, income controller, tax auditor; at Ministry of Finance, The Undersecretariat of Treasury, The Court of Accounts, SPK (Capital Market Boards of Turkey), BDDK (Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency), commercial banks and at the accounting-finance departmens of the other public and private sector. In addition to these graduates can work independently as a certified public accountant or sworn-in certified public accountant when the necessary exams are achieved.
Access to Further Studies
Undergraduates may apply to master's or doctorate programmes.
Mode of Study
- To educate professionals who have sufficient professional qualifications and practical experience in accounting and finance subjects that will serve in public and private sector enterprises,
-Besides an effective accounting and finance theory education, it is aimed that students gained practical skills in the field of being independent auditor who perform implication of principles of Turkish Accounting Standards and Turkish Auditing Standards
-In addition to satisfy of national needs, to educate of finance and accounting managers who are especially required by tourism, agriculture and other service sectors common in Mugla province.
- To prepare well qualified finance and accounting staff and manager candidates who can handle uncontrollable and controllable environmental variables for the business life,
- To educate students who have sufficient knowledge of managing funds and able to find solutions to financial problems by using interdisciplinary approaches, computational and modern analytical tools,
- Educating students to be certified Financial Consultant and Independent Accountant through the theoretical classes and internships,
-To educate the accounting and finance managers who will be able to monitor the developments in their profession on a global scale and reflect their knowledge to the society and the changing world they live.
