The admission conditions of the Institute of Health Sciences and the Department are valid and are announced every semester.
Qualification Requirements
To have the course credit specified in the Postgraduate Education Regulation and to have a graduation grade point average (master / master).
Recognition of Prior Learning
With the student's application, the previous courses at the previous university are evaluated by the Graduate Integration Committee in terms of course content and course hours. If deemed appropriate, our department is deemed to have passed the relevant courses in its curriculum with the grade obtained from the previous university.
History
Public Health Nursing Master's Program with Thesis was opened in 2019. It started to accept students in the Fall semester of the 2019-2020 Academic Year.
Profile of the Programme
Students of the Public Health Nursing Master's Program with Thesis must pass at least seven courses, a seminar and a thesis study throughout their education. The total ECTS required to obtain a master's degree is at least 120. Graduates are given the title of Specialist Public Health Nurse (Msc).
Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading
It is determined by the responsible lecturer of the course in accordance with the Postgraduate Education Regulation of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University.
Graduation Requirements
Students of the Public Health Nursing Master's Program with Thesis must pass at least seven courses, a seminar and a thesis study, apart from the field of specialization. The total ECTS required to obtain a master's degree is at least 120.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
The Department of Public Health Nursing Master's Program will provide students with the opportunity of post-graduation training in the field of Public Health Nursing and the opportunity to work as a specialist nurse in the Provincial Health Directorate, Home Care Unit, Community Health Center and similar primary health units.
Access to Further Studies
Candidates who have successfully completed their postgraduate education can study in the doctoral program provided that they get a valid grade from the Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Exam (ALES) and foreign language exam.

The Public Health Nursing Master's Program educates graduates who know critical thinking and decision-making, who have the knowledge and skills of interdisciplinary work in transferring the information obtained from research results into practice, protecting and improving the health of the society, and bringing innovation to the health care system.
