Profile of the Programme

Program Outcomes

1- To be able to assimilate and discuss the basic concepts and theories of translation studies, and to apply this knowledge to the written and oral translation processes in a scientific way.
2- Level C1 language competence at the Language A and B2 at the Language B according to the European Language Portfolio.
3- Knowledge that will form a background for translation competence in the field of expertise.
4- Knowledge of information and communication technologies to provide the communication required by the profession.
5- Ability to transfer the translation competence in the field of expertise to the translation process.
6- Ability to access and use research resources and information technologies in terms of cost and timing in order to make appropriate decisions in terms of text type and context.
7- The ability to acquire the terminology of the disciplines such as social sciences, law, medicine, science etc. and transfer them to the translation process.
8- Interpreting skills
9- Project development, application and management skills.
10- To be able to take responsibility as an individual and a team member in order to solve complex problems encountered in the translation process and to create the necessary communication channels.
11- To gain awareness of lifelong learning and to be able to identify and meet learning needs in his / her own field and / or other fields, and to direct his / her learning to an advanced level of education in the same field or another field
12- Competence to communicate between mother tongue and foreign languages in the sectors where the student can work after graduation.
13- Competences required to perform different translation applications.
14- To act in accordance with professional ethical principles.
