Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading
Exams; consists of midterm, final exam, make-up exam, make-up exam, exemption exam and a single course exam. Exam evaluation is determined by the instructors according to the requirements of the courses. In cases where the instructor deems it necessary, homework, project or application studies can also be evaluated with a grade. Midterm Exams: At least one midterm exam is held for the courses offered in each semester. If no other evaluation will be made during the semester except for the midterm exam, the score obtained from the midterm exam may weigh 40~50% of the passing grade. Final Exams: It is held at the end of the semester to determine the success of the student from the courses completed. Final exam evaluation is 50~60% of the passing grade. The weight of the final exam in the passing grade cannot be less than 50% in accordance with the regulations. Make-up Exams: Students who cannot take the midterm or final exam due to a justified and valid excuse are given the right to make-up exams by the relevant administrative board.
