The admission conditions of the Institute of Network Sciences and the Department are valid and announced every semester.
Qualification Requirements
To have the course credit specified in the Postgraduate Education Regulation and to have a graduation grade point average (doctorate).
Recognition of Prior Learning
With the student's application, the previous courses at the previous university are evaluated by the Graduate Integration Committee in terms of course content and course hours. If deemed appropriate, our department is deemed to have passed the relevant courses in its curriculum with the grade obtained from the previous university.
History
Public Health Nursing Doctorate Program was opened in 2020, and it received students for the first time in the 2020-2021 Fall Semester.
Profile of the Programme
Public Health Nursing doctorate program is a 4-year graduate education program that includes 4 courses and 4 thesis semesters. After the successfully completed course period, those who pass the doctoral qualification exam receive the Public Health Nursing Doctorate (Ph. D.) degree when they complete their doctoral thesis.
Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading
It is determined by the responsible lecturer of the course in accordance with the Postgraduate Education Regulation of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University.
Graduation Requirements
To provide the required grade point average and to get a successful-passing grade from the PhD Completion Thesis.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Graduates of the Public Health Doctorate Program can work in the central and provincial organizations of the Ministry of Health and its affiliated organizations, private institutions and non-governmental organizations in public health departments. They can work as teaching staff at universities.
Access to Further Studies
Specialist public health nurses with a doctorate can apply to university academic staff announced in Turkey/abroad.

The purpose of the doctoral program in public health nursing is to prepare nurses to take leadership in the assessment of communities and families, in identifying high-risk groups, and in the development of culturally sensitive, acceptable and realistic nursing services. To train specialized public health nurses who are qualified to carry out public health nursing practices based on community-based projects and who can perform the roles of researcher, case manager, caregiver, educator, leader, spokesperson and advocate. In addition to these, the doctorate program to be opened will contribute to the protection and improvement of the health of the people of the region.
