Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading

Evaluations in the Medical Biology master's program are made with a midterm and final exam. Success grade is calculated by taking 40% of the midterm exam and 60% of the final exam. In addition, make-up exams and make-up exams are administered when necessary. Exams can be given in the form of a written exam, homework or presentation.

Graduation Requirements

The master's program with thesis consists of at least seven courses, a seminar course and thesis, with a total of not less than 21 credits. The seminar course and thesis work are non-credit and are evaluated as successful or unsuccessful. One can graduate from a master's program with thesis by completing a total of at least 120 ECTS credits, of which at least seven courses, seminars and thesis work, provided that it is not less than 60 ECTS credits in an academic year. In addition, students are required to take at least student course that includes scientific research techniques and research and publication ethics.
