Graduates who have successfully completed the program by fulfilling all requirements will be awarded a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Management Information Systems.

Qualification Requirements
In order to successfully complete the program, it is necessary to successfully complete all of the courses in the program (equivalent to 240 ECTS) and obtain a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.
Recognition of Prior Learning
For Computer and English Courses, which take part in the education plan of Department of Business Information Systems in the Fethiye Faculty of Business Administration of Muğla Sitki Kocman University, exemption exam is handled at the beginning of every academic term. The students who peforms the learning outcomes, expected for the courses, have the right to take the exam. The students who succeed in this exam are exempted from the related courses in the program list. The students who are registered to the Department of Business Information Systems in the Fethiye Faculty of Business Administration of Muğla Sitki Kocman University for the first time, in case of application in the first week of academic year, the credits and final grades received in previous higher education department/program are transferred to the related department and program by board decision. The number of terms equaled to these courses are calculated by considering the total credits of the courses affirmed and the term credits of the department that the student is registered. This period is reduced from education period limit defined in the 44th article of law and the term, which is going to be acclimated, is defined by board decision.
History
The establishment process of Fethiye Faculty of Business Administration was completed with the publication of the Council of Ministers Decision No. 2011/2260 in the Official Gazette dated 24 October 2011 and numbered 28094. The faculty consists of five departments: Economics and Finance, Business Administration, Tourism Management, International Trade and Logistics, and Management Information Systems. The Department of Management Information Systems has started accepting students in the 2020-2021 academic year.
Profile of the Programme
Bringing the students who want to study in the field of Management Information Systems to this field, the need for personnel who can meet the information that the employees at the management level working in all sectors will need while making decisions, who set up, operate and manage information systems, people who have graduated from different departments of different faculties have a master's degree in Management Information Systems. It is foreseen that by using information systems in their own fields, the institution will be able to work effectively and efficiently and increase the opportunities for placement.
To increase the competitiveness and globalization of institutions in our province and around us by using information technologies more effectively and efficiently. will offer such facilities. Considering the importance of the development of departments, the ability of faculty members to renew themselves and to create their own academic staff, the opening of the Management Information Systems Master's Program with Thesis is very important for the development of the department.
Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading
Exams consist of mid-terms, final exams, excuse exams, repeat exams, exemption exams and one course exam.
Mid-terms: There are mid-term exams for the courses that exist in every term. 40% of a mid-term exam is considered.
Final exams: There are final exams to test academic success at the end of the term. 60% of a final exam is considered.
Excuse exams: If a student has a valid excuse for the mid-term or final exams, related board allow for excuse exams. For the excuse exams, student must submit a petition, which explains the excuse, in 3 days to deanship/ management. Moreover, the excuse should be approved by related board.
Repeat exams: Students may take repeat exams for the courses, which are graded as FD or FF that they fail and which are graded as DD or DC that they pass, at the end of term. The point of a repeat exam substitutes for the final point of that course. The percentages of mid-term and repeat exams are assessed in the same way as final exams. For the repeat exams, final point is considered regardless of what was graded before.
Exemption exams: Exemption exams are set for the courses defined by the senate on the specified dates in academic calender.
One course exams: They are for the students who failed in one course and will graduate in case of succeeding in that course. Moreover, the students may take one course exam to increase their own average score, although they succeed all of the courses in the program, for the reason that they cannot graduate due to grade point average is less than 2,00. To take one course exam for graduation, a petition should be given to the head of department. One can take this exam only once.
For every course, students are graded at the end of the term as below by the lecturer of the course. Grade Equivalent Mid-term/Final Grade Coefficient 90-100 AA 4; 85-89 BA 3,5; 80-84 BB 3; 75-79 CB 2,5; 70-74 CC 2; 65-69 DC 1,5; 60-64 DD 1; 50-59 FD 0,5; 49 and below FF 0.
The assessments apart from these, TT means failure becausse of absenteeism, MM means exemption for the course, GG success in course, KK means failure in the course, VV means abolished course.
The students are graded as “TT” if they are absent in the courses and/or applied courses.
The students, who succeed in Foreign Language Proficiency Exam, are exempt from the required foreign courses (English, German, French) and graded as “MM”.
The students who succeed in Preparatory Foreign Language Program and internship graded as “GG”.
The students who fail in Preparatory Foreign Language Program and internship graded as “KK”.
For the courses which are abolished from the education program are graded as “VV” with the proposal of head of department and with the decision of board.
Graduation Requirements
Students who are successful from all lessons (totally 240 ETCS) and having 2.00 (from 0-4 level) average and above from all lessons get undergraduate diploma at the field of Management Information Systems.

Graduates are able to work in many fields, mainly consulting, auditing, software, e-business, finance, banking and telecommunication. Example sof the professions in the field of Management Information Systems are System Analyst, Database Administrator, Business Intelligence Analyst, Network Administrator, System Developer, Database Administrator, Information Technology User Relations Manager, Web Developer, Network Administrator, Technical Manager, Business Analyst, Business Developer, Information Technology Advisor, Information Technology Project Development Leader Support Specialist, Information Systems Manager.
Access to Further Studies
Candidates who have successfully completed their undergraduate education can study at postgraduate programs (master's and doctoral programs) provided that they take valid grades from ALES exam, have sufficient knowledge of English language and succeed in the exams offered by related institutions.
