Qualification Awarded
(Students who have successfully completed this program are eligible to obtain Associate Degree (Economics and Administrative Programs) in the field of Accounting and Tax Applications Associate Degree Program.)
Specific Admission Requirements
(Higher Education In order to admit students, a Higher Education Transition Examination (YGS), which has been implemented nationwide, has to be applied or to apply for the entrance examination without examination. Higher Education Transition Examination(YGS) is held once a year by Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Student, are placed with the test score of Higher Education Transfer Examination (YGS) and the average of the high school grades in the departments of the Higher Education Institutions.)
Qualification Requirements
(Successful completion of all the courses in the program (for a total of 120 ECTS), completion of 40 working days of compulsory internship and having a CGPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 is a necessary condition for graduation.)
Recognition of Prior Learning
(In the higher education institutions, the recognition of the previous formal (formal) learner, transitions in the vertical, horizontal and in the university are determined by the Higher Education Council. "In the higher education institutions, the transition between the programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels, the transfer of credit between the two main branches, Related regulation ". An exemption exam is held at the beginning of each academic term for the computer and English courses. Students who think they have the qualifications expected from these courses have the right to take the exams. Students who are successful in the examination are exempted from the relevant courses in the curriculum)
History
(In the academic year of 1995-1996, the program of Accounting and Tax Applications started activity as formal education. In the academic year of 1996 – 1997, students are taken in secondary education. 120 students are enrolled in the Accounting and Taxation program each year, 60 (normal education) and 60 (secondary education). There are 3 instructors in Accounting and Tax Applications program.
Profile of the Programme
The increase in global competition requires that managers and executives of the future be professionally informed and equipped entrepreneurs. For this reason, a contemporary accounting education program has been prepared taking into account the changing conditions in the national and international markets. The aim of the department is to train technicians who are in need of industry, high level of vocational knowledge and skill, good quality and human worth which can adapt easily to business life and technological developments, respectful to national and spiritual values and related accounting and tax practices.

Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading
At least one midterm and one final exam are given for each course given. Quizzes and assignments can also be assessed. The success grade is assessed by midterm exam, short-term exam and homework are 40% and final exam is 60%. In this assessment; The course instructor takes into consideration the statistical results of the scores of the students who take the course and the scores they get from the midterm and final exams and the grades taken are converted into the 4 letter system within the framework of the principles specified in the regulation. Weighted Grade Point Average (AGNO), which is formed from the notes received by the student, can not take lessons from the next semester (from the 5th semester) if they are below the first semester / 1.80 at the end of the first four semesters. A student who receives one of the grades AA, BA, BB, CB and CC grades is considered successful. The DC and DD grades taken at a derter are evaluated according to the student's graduation AGNO. If the AGNO of the student is above the success grade (2.00), these courses are defined as successful. In the interim years / years, these letter grades are evaluated with the coefficients in the AGNO calculation. The student who receives the FF grade is unsuccessful, he / she has to attend the exam in the first semester / year and fulfill the examination conditions. Courses rated with achievement grade MM and GG do not participate in the evaluation of AGNO calculation.
Graduation Requirements
To successfully complete the program, it is necessary to pass all the courses available in the program, obtain a weighted average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
The program graduates can work as assistant members in the head offices of the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and if they meet the necessary legal conditions in the case of completing the four year undergraduate education by vertical transfer; They can open their own accounting offices by taking SMMM document, they can work in Independent Auditing Institutions and they can become Independent Auditors if they are successful in the exam / trainings, they can work in Tax Inspector, SGK Inspector and other public institutions and organizations. We may also take part in accounting departments of public or private sector enterprises, finance and tax offices. Especially in the private sector, starting with accounting staff, accounting specialist, accounting officer titles, they can work as accounting chief, accounting manager assistant and manager in the following periods.
In this context, our graduates; Banks, insurance companies and foreign trade operations in tourism, construction and industry.
Access to Further Studies
Graduates who wish to continue their education can obtain the right of the universities to transfer to four-year undergraduate programs if they have sufficient points for the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) areas made by the Student Selection and Placement Center. However, our graduates can also complete their four-year undergraduate education at the Open Education Faculty through the right to pass without examination. Mode of Study
Associate Degree; The main purpose of the Accounting and Tax Applications Program is to train entrepreneurial accounting personnel with analytical thinking ability, problem solving ability, who will meet the needs of accounting and financial advisory offices, accounting and finance departments of public or private sector organizations. Our students, who take part in the Accounting and Tax Applications Program, have information about the current developments in the field of accounting and gain command of accounting programs during their two-year education.
