Mugla Vocational School of Health Services Programme of Medical Laboratory Skills

Qualification Awarded

Students who complete the program are graduated from the Medical Laboratory Techniques program.

Specific Admission Requirements

According to the results of the Student Selection and Placement System (ÖSYM), the candidates who will apply for the Medical Laboratory Techniques Program can be placed in the Medical Laboratory Techniques Program according to the scores obtained in the TYT exam.

Qualification Requirements

The student must have achieved all the compulsory courses in the program. In this program, the student is required to have a minimum of 120 ECTS credits and a minimum of 4.00 out of 4.00.

Recognition of Prior Learning

The courses taken by the students who have taken any higher education before can be exempted from the course in the curriculum in accordance with the “Regulation on Transfer between Programs in Associate and Bachelor's Degree Programs in Double, Minor and Minor Programs Geçiş. . In addition, students who wish to be exempted from the courses of Information Communication Technologies, Foreign Language, Turkish Language and Revolution History at the beginning of each academic year can take the exemption exam that the university has opened.

History

Within the body of our school, the Medical Laboratory Techniques Program in the 2001-2002 academic year, and the Medical Laboratory Techniques (İÖ) programs were accepted with the decision of the Higher Education General Assembly dated April 18, 2013, and the educational activities started as of the 2013-2014 academic year. With the suspension of student admission to the Medical Laboratory Techniques (E.E.) program as of the 2022-2023 academic year, it has become a program that provides only formal education.

Profile of the Programme

The purpose of the Medical Laboratory Program; The aim of this course is to train health personnel who have knowledge and skills about working in hospitals and other health institutions and laboratories, having sufficient and qualified knowledge and experience in terms of knowledge and experience, operation of methods and devices used in clinical and other research laboratories.

Program Outcomes

1- The students know the basic structure and functioning of the human body and define systems and anatomical structures.
2- Explain the terms related to the field of Medical Laboratory Techniques.
3- Have a basic level of theoretical and practical knowledge, including current information in the Medical Laboratory Techniques Program field.
4- Have the ability to use information and communication skills, apply the developing technology in the field, have the technical equipment, and synthesize information.
5- The students know about reaching, evaluating, and applying basic scientific knowledge in the Medical Laboratory Techniques Program field.
6- Defines the problems when faced with an unexpected situation related to analysis in line with the information obtained in the Medical Laboratory Techniques Program field.
7- The students use basic computer programs and related technologies in the field.
8- Works as a team member to solve problems in injuries and other emergencies.
9- Critically develops the basic knowledge and skills acquired in the field.
10- They communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, relatives, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
11- Gains the awareness of professional ethics and complies with scientific and moral rules while collecting data related to the profession.
12- Independently carries out a given task by using its basic knowledge of the field.
13- Have an awareness of lifelong learning.
14- Monitors resources in the field and communicates with colleagues using a foreign language.
15- Professionally evaluates and applies current information.
16- They have experience working with other health disciplines.
17- They use his language well. (he understands what he reads, expresses it correctly and properly, writes without errors, and speaks clearly and clearly.)

Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading

For single theoretical lectures 40% of the midterm grade 60 %of the final exam grade For hands-on courses with a single final 20% of the midterm grade 30% of application note 50% of the final exam grade
