Qualification Awarded
Students who take program courses (a total of 120 ECTS) and who successfully complete at least a 2.0 GPA on a 4.00 are eligible for the vocational degree in landscape and ornomental plants.

General terms and conditions of university entrance are required for native and foreign students determined by national higher education affiliation.
Qualification Requirements
In order to graduate from the programme, the students should complete 120 ECTS course work, including required and elective, succesfuly and should have a 2.00 Grand Point Average (GPA) minimum out of 4.00.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Recognition of prior non-formal and in-formal learning is at the beginning stage in Turkish Higher Education Affiliation. Exams of exemption are organised at the start of each year at the University for the courses of English Language, Computer Skills, Turkish Language and Turkish History. The students who have completed the proficiencies for these courses on his/her own or through other means, and believe that they have achieved the learning outcomes specified are given the right to take the exemption exam. The students who achieve a passing grade from these exams are held exempt from the related course in the curriculum.
History
Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Landscape and Ornamental Plants Programme was established in June 9 2001 and began to intake student in 2001-2002 academic education year with the enrollment of 50 students. Programme education was evaluated in 2011 by adapting to national and so the international education system and continue to education with the enrollment of 40 national student and 5 international special quato capacity. The school is located in Fethiye city with 1200 m2 base constructional area, 4000 m2 garden and 120 m2 ornamental plant greenhouse land. Fethiye is situated along the coast where the Mediterranean Sea and Aegean Sea meet, in southwest Turkey. It has a worldwide reputation for The Blue Lagoon Sea, Babadag Paragliding Mountain, Butterfly Valley, Kaya Village and the ancient cities. Fethiye has a Mediterranean climate consisting of very hot, long and dry summers with an average of 34°C; winters are cool and rainy with an average of 18.5°C. It has high variety of practice area that are governmental or non governmental. For important practice of lessons location of the school is close to Antalya and İzmir cities where they are best centers for landscape and ornomental plant applications. Programme education is applied by 1 assoc. Prof, 1 asst. Prof and 3 lecturer. They are well qualified personels in their department. Graduated students are accepted by govermental offices as landscape technicer.

Evaluation of examinations consider in accordance with the University Senate Legislation with 29 August 2012,number 465/11.
Graduation Requirements
Students must obtain a grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and successfully pass all courses on the programme (equivalent to a total of 120 ECTS).
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Graduated students are eligible for govermental and nongovernmental companies in landscape deparment and ornamental plants.
Access to Further Studies
The graduates holding Associated Bachelor’s Degree are eligible to apply to Bachelor’s Degree in accordance with National Higher Education Affiliation.
