Specific Admission Requirements
T. C. In the central examinations conducted by the Higher Education Council, Student Selection and Placement Center, the candidate who has the right to be a student in the faculties and colleges of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University shall make a final registration with the documents determined by the Rectorate within the period announced by the Rectorate. The candidate who loses his registration within the deadline loses his right. Identity cards are given to the students who have registered for the university.
Qualification Requirements
Students are required to renew their registrations at the beginning of each semester and within the periods specified in the academic calendar by paying the student contribution or tuition fee determined by the decision of the Council of Ministers. The courses that the student will take in that semester / year are determined by his / her academic advisor during the registration. Students who have started the first year of a program applied to the course transfer system are required to take all courses related to the semester / year they are enrolled. In order to graduate from associate degree programs, associate degree students must take 120-lesson course and complete 60-day internship.
Recognition of Prior Learning
According to the provisions of the Regulation on the Principles of Horizontal Transfer at Associate Degree and Bachelor Degree among Higher Education Institutions published in the Official Gazette No. 17845. Horizontal transfer applications are evaluated and finalized by the board of directors. The duration of education of the students who transfer horizontally, taking into account the periods used in the institution where the student arrives, is determined by the board of directors of the related unit so as not to exceed the maximum period determined by the law. The vertical transfers of the graduates of vocational high schools to the undergraduate programs of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University are made by the faculty board of directors in accordance with the provisions of the Üniversitesi Regulation on the Attendance of Graduates of Vocational Schools and Open Education Associate Degree Programs 19 published in the Official Gazette dated 19.02.2002 and numbered 24676. A transfer can be made between the Departments and Programs of the Faculties, Schools and Vocational Schools of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University. The principles related to this transition shall be regulated by the directive determined by the University Senate.
History
Our department started its activities as Technical Programs Department in the 1999-2000 Academic Year and then continued its activities under the name of Plant and Animal Production Department. The Department continues its education and training as a normal education program with the Greenhouse Program.
Profile of the Programme
The purpose of the Greenhouse Program; To be able to install greenhouses, to operate greenhouse, to produce undergrowth and vegetable and ornamental plants, to be knowledgeable about technical issues such as irrigation, fertilization, pruning, spraying, harvesting In addition to basic vocational courses, students who are able to use computer skills in the greenhouse automation systems, have sufficient theoretical knowledge and ability to apply this knowledge, solve the problems they face and adopt this profession are aimed to be trained.

Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading
Students are required to take a semester / year-end examination in addition to the midterm examinations and studies. At least one midterm exam is given in a semester. Semester / year-end exams are determined by the school director and are announced at the announced date, place and time. With the decision of the Board of Higher Education, internship, practice and laboratory exams can be opened. In order to take the semester / year-end exam of a course; a) To renew the registration, b) To continue to at least 70% of the theoretical course, c) To continue at least 80% of the application and laboratory of the course and to be successful. When the courses and laboratories are evaluated separately, the above conditions of success are valid for laboratories. The success grade of a course is determined using the relative assessment method. In order to determine a student's grade in a course according to the relative evaluation method, first the raw grade is calculated by taking into consideration the contributions of the mid-term and the other educational activities and the semester / year-end exams, if any, as in the absolute evaluation method. In this grade assessment method, over 100 grades are considered. For all students, over 100 grades are adapted to the letter system or 4, which is accepted by the Senate, taking into account the overall level of achievement of the class, the distribution of grades, grade average and standard deviation. In this evaluation, the contribution of the midterm and / or other midterm exams to the success grade is% 60, and the grade of the final exam or the final exam is 60%. A student whose AGNO is at least 2.00 is considered successful if there is not any course (FF), (FD), or (K). Students whose AGNO is below 2.00 are considered unsuccessful. Failed students may repeat the courses they take (DC) and (DD) with the recommendation of the advisor and the approval of the department chair.
Graduation Requirements
Students who have successfully completed all courses in the program with a total of 120 ECTS credits and who have at least 2.00 grade point average out of 4.00 are eligible to graduate. In addition to successfully completing the courses, 60-day vocational training internships is a prerequisite for graduation. However, the student who cannot graduate within this period must complete the education in four years according to the article 44 of the law numbered 2547. However, at the end of these periods; In order to graduate from the education institution to which it is registered, senior students are given two additional exams, one for integration, for all the courses they fail. At the end of these exams, those who have reduced the number of failed courses to five courses have two semesters for these five courses; those who fail in three or less courses are given the right to take exams which will be opened from the courses they have failed. In order for a student to graduate from the program he / she is pursuing, it is compulsory to complete all the courses required for graduation within the legal period mentioned above and complete the program he / she is continuing with at least 2.00 GPA (GPA). GNO is also the graduation grade point average. Students who graduated from the program with the minimum normal course load at the end of the normal education period are 3.00-3.49 and the students who have a CGPA of 3.50-4.00 are entitled to obtain the High Honor Certificate.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
The graduates of the Greenhouse Program receive the title of Technician. These technicians can work in related departments of the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Forestry. Ziraii Medicines Dealer License can be obtained with the condition of achieving the exam which is opened by the Ministry. companies working in the company or project design, landscape business, especially tourism companies can work in landscaping and maintenance works. Those who successfully complete the program, can pass to the Faculty of Agriculture with a vertical transition exam.
