Qualification Awarded
Students who have successfully completed all the courses in the program of Accounting and Taxation Program and have a minimum of 120 ECTS and have the program qualifications are awarded the associate degree in the field of Accounting and Tax Applications.
Specific Admission Requirements
It is necessary to have a high school and balanced school diploma and to get enough points from the related subject of Higher Education Entrance Examination (YGS) made by Center for Measurement, Selection and Placement (OSYM).
Qualification Requirements
Students must complete at least 2.00 of their GPA over 4.00 and complete a total of 40 days of professional internship so that they can successfully complete and complete all of the compulsory and elective courses that are available in the Accounting and Taxation Program.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Candidates must have completed secondary education in Turkey or have received equivalent education abroad in order to enter the Accounting and Taxation Program. Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University for horizontal transfer from higher education institutions in Turkey and foreign countries must fulfill the conditions stated in Undergraduate and Bachelors Degree Regulations. Candidates may be exempted from the courses if the content of the courses previously taken at another institution and the credits are in accordance with the content and credits of the course of our program and approved by the non-high school directorate.
History
Mugla University Milas Vocational School Accounting and Taxation Program started in 2001 in Milas District of Muğla province in Güllük district. He gave his first graduation in 2003. It has been moved to the building of Milas district in 2008 and education on the same building is continuing. 2003-2004 Education and training activities continue in Second Education since 2004.
Profile of the Programme
The main aim of the Accounting and Tax Applications program is to enable the employees to use the office and accounting package programs they need and to follow the legislation related to the profession and to use them in the books used in commercial activities (journal, big book, inventory book, self-employment book, ) is to train qualified personnel who can keep accounting records according to the legislative procedures and principles, follow tax applications, have financial analysis and decision making skills.
Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading
Exams; midterm exam, final exam, make-up exam, make-up exam, exemption exam and single exam. Midterm exams: At least one midterm exam is given for the courses opened in each semester. Final Examination: At the end of the semester the course is done to determine the success of the student from the completed courses. The general application for the contributions of the examinations is 40% of the midterm exam score and 60% of the final exam score. However, the contributions of the midterm and final exams to the course grade can be determined at different rates by the instructors conducting the courses. Exemption Exams: Students who are unable to take midterm or final exams due to a just and valid excuse will be given an excuse examination right by the relevant board of directors. In order to be accepted for the excuse examination, the applicant must apply to the dean / directorate within 3 days from the date of the petition and the excuse for the excuse, and the excuse must be accepted by the relevant administrative board. Make-up exams: At the end of the semester final exams, the students take FD or FF grades and take the DD or DC grades and take the make-up exams. The grade taken in the make-up examination replaces the final grade of the course. Contribution shares of the midterm and make-up exam grades are calculated as they are in the final exams. In courses that are put to make-up exam, regardless of the previous achievement grade, the last grade is taken as the basis. Exemption Exams: These are held on the dates specified in the academic calendar for the courses set by the Senate. Single Course Exam: Students who fulfill the continuing requirement for graduation but fail the single course can take the odd one-course examination that they failed. Graduation Requirements
In order to successfully complete the Accounting and Tax Applications Program and obtain the Associate Degree, students must pass all the courses in the program, complete a 40-day professional internship and obtain a weighted GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Students who graduate from the Accounting and Tax Applications program are employed in the accounting and finance departments of public institutions and private firms in accordance with the qualifications they have gained. They can also work in the offices of Certified Public Accountants and Certified Public Accountants.
Access to Further Studies
Students who have completed the program and graduated will be entitled to register in a license department suitable for their graduation program if they are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam conducted by ÖSYM. The sections that can be completed with a vertical license from the program are; Accounting and Financial Management, Accounting and Financial Management, International Finance, International Business, International Business, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Business Economics and Business Relations, Business Economics and Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Business Information Management , International Business and Trade, International Trade, International Trade and Finance, International Trade and Finance, International Trade and Business, International Trade and Logistics. At the same time, the program students can complete their bachelor's degree without entering the vertical transition examination and without taking the preparation for the undergraduate program by giving the third and fourth year courses of Business, Economics department of Open Education Faculty.
