Qualification Awarded
Students who have successfully completed all the courses in the 2-year education plan and have at least 120 ECTS are awarded an associate degree in Accounting and Tax Applications.
Specific Admission Requirements
It is possible to gain the right to register by participating in the exams held by OSYM.
Qualification Requirements
Students must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and have completed a total of 40 days of professional internship in order to successfully complete and graduate all of the courses in the Accounting and Tax Applications Program for a total of 120 ECTS.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Candidates must have completed secondary education in Turkey or received an equivalent education abroad in order to enter the Accounting and Tax Applications Program.
History
Muğla University Ula Ali Koçman Vocational School Accounting and Tax Applications Program took its first students in the 2000-2001 academic year and gave its first graduates in 2002. The Accounting and Tax Applications Program, which started education in its campus in the Ula District of Muğla province in 2000, still continues its education in the same building.
Profile of the Programme
The main purpose of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Ula Ali Koçman Vocational School Accounting and Tax Applications Program is to train professional accountants who will meet the needs of accounting and consultancy offices serving in accounting and tax, accounting and finance departments of public or private sector organizations.
Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading
The general application for the contribution of the exams in determining the course grade of the student is 40% of the score obtained in the midterm exam and 60% of the score obtained in the final exam evaluation. However, the contribution margins for the midterm and final exams to the course grades can be determined at different rates by the instructors conducting the courses.
Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate, students must pass all the courses in the program, complete the compulsory 40-day vocational internship, and obtain a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Students who graduate from the Accounting and Tax Applications program are employed in the accounting and finance departments of public institutions and private companies in line with the competencies they have acquired. They can also work in the offices of Certified Public Accountants and Chartered Accountants.
Access to Further Studies
Students who complete the program and graduate, if they are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam, gain the right to enroll in an undergraduate program suitable for the program they graduated from.
