Specific Admission Requirements
Admission of students to the program is carried out by examinations and placement organized by ÖSYM (Student Selection and Placement Center) in accordance with the related regulations-directives determined by YÖK (Council of Higher Education). Sudents who graduate from high school can register to the program by obtaining enough points from the exam given by the ÖSYM.

Students must complete 120 ECTS credits during 2 years of study. In order to graduate from the program, the student must complete all the courses taken and the industry-based learning internship which is 60 working days. The overall grade point average should be at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and must not have an unsuccessful course.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Students from all high schools are accepted.
History
The program, which started education in 2004 under the name of the marble program, has been continuing its education since 2009 under the name of Program of Natural Building Stones Quarry and Processing.
Profile of the Programme
n the program, theoretical courses based on industry and laboratory practice are given. At the end of the first grade, students complete their compulsory internship based on their industry for 60 working days to prepare themselves better for the business life. The type of education in the Natural Building Stones Quarry and Processing Program is formal education. The language of instruction is Turkish. There is one laboratory in the program. Internship and technical travel opportunities are provided to students by private and public institutions
Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading
In order for the students to register for the courses at the beginning of the semester and to take the final exams, they must have at least 70% of the theoretical courses and at least 80% of the applications. The success of the students in each course unit in the curriculum is measured by the results of the mid-term, the in-term activities and the results of the final exams. Mid-term and final exams are conducted at the dates, places and times determined and announced by the university. The mid-term exam's contribution is% 40 and the final exam's contribution is% 60 for the final grade. The scores obtained from the measurement tools such as homework, laboratory exam, quiz etc. can also be evaluated as mid-term exam. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. Students are required to take at least 30 points from the final exam. Students taking one of the letter grades AA, BA, BB, CB and CC are considered successful. DC and DD are conditionally successful grades. In order to be successful in a course with a DC or DD grade, the student must have a grade point average of at least 2.00. In order to be successful in a course with a DC or DD grade, the student must have a grade point average of at least 2.00. If a student has received FF or FD grade, he / she is considered unsuccessful and must repeat the course in next year. The grade of KK indicates that there is a absenteeism from a course, a grade of GG is passed from that course, and a grade of SS indicates that the course is a continuing course and the course will be processed at the end of the course.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Students who are graduates of Natural Building Stones Quarry and Processing Program are employed in companies that work in natural stone mining, technology and use. Graduates can work as technicians, researchers and salespersons in related companies and institutions.
Access to Further Studies
Graduated students can transfer to the undergraduate programs which are the continuation of the fields they have completed. The provisions of the relevant regulations are applied for the graduates of Vocational Schools and Open Education Associate (AÖF) Degree Programs to continue their undergraduate education. Quotas allocated by the University are notified to the Presidency of ÖSYM. These quotas and conditions are announced in the Vertical Transition Guide prepared by ÖSYM. According to the results of the Vertical Transfer Exam, the placements are carried out centrally by ÖSYM. Graduates of the program can make a vertical transfer to the related faculties of Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering according to their results. In addition, there is a possibility of vertical transfer to the Economics and Business Administration departments of the AÖF.
