Specific Admission Requirements

In accordance with the regulations determined by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), admission to this program is carried out by an examination system carried out by the Measurement Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Student registration procedures; Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) in accordance with the principles set. The Rectorate announces the registration date, required documents and registration places of the students who will register firstly to the University according to the units. Registration procedures are carried out by the Registrar's Office. The candidate loses his right to the registration within the registration period. Documents that are found to be tampered with documents are not made. The records are deleted if they are found to have been registered by mistake.

Qualification Requirements

Students are required to renew their course registrations by paying the student contribution or tuition fee determined by the Council of Ministers within the periods specified in the academic calendar and at the beginning of each academic year. The courses that the student will take in that semester / year are determined by his / her academic advisor during the registration. Students who have started the first year of a program applied to the course transfer system are required to take all courses related to the semester / year they are enrolled. In order to graduate from associate degree programs, they are required to successfully complete all of the courses in our university (120 ECTS in total) and to be successful in all the courses in the curriculum in order to graduate.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Students studying at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University may be exempt from some courses within the framework of certain regulations. If the content of the course taken in another institution is appropriate to the content of the course given in our university and approved by the relevant Vocational Education Office, the student may be exempted from the course. According to the regulations of the Regulation on Transfer of Horizontal Transfer at Associate Degree and Bachelor Degree among Higher Education Institutions in published in Official Journal No. 17845. The duration of education of the students who transfer horizontally, taking into account the periods used in the institution where the student arrives, is determined by the board of directors of the related unit so as not to exceed the maximum period determined by the law. The vertical transfers of the graduates of vocational high schools to the undergraduate programs of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University are made by the faculty board of directors in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation on the Attendance of Undergraduate Graduates of Vocational Schools and Open Education Associate Degree Programs published in the Official Gazette dated 19.02.2002 and numbered 24676. A transfer can be made between the Departments and Programs of the Faculties, Schools and Vocational Schools of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University. The principles related to this transition shall be regulated by the directive determined by the University Senate.

History

The Organic Agriculture Program continues education under the Department of Herbal and Animal Production, which started its activities in the 1999-2000 academic year.

Profile of the Programme

In our program; By controlling the soil and water resources and air without polluting the air, without using chemical inputs in production; To be aware of the protection of the environment, plant, animal and human health, to produce new values ??in accordance with the aims of a modern and democratic university, to meet the quality needs of national / international institutions and organizations and to be open to development, entrepreneurial, innovative, human and ethical intended to cultivate.

Program Outcomes

1- To have knowledge and skills in the field of plant development, soil and agricultural education in the field of organic agriculture development, to learn the concepts of agriculture

8- Has knowledge about seeds used in organic agriculture, organic fertilizer sources and preparations with organic content.
9- It is sensitive to current events and developments and follows these developments.
10- Gains knowledge about the processing, marketing and contribution of organic products to the country's economy.
11- Reaches and uses information effectively and actively using information communication techniques.

13- Recognize the diseases and pests and nutritional disorders in plants.
14- Can use production techniques with the awareness of protecting the environment.
15- Should be able to use the software and hardware required by the profession along with basic computer usage knowledge.

Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading

Written, oral and / or applied exams; mid-term exams, make-up exams, final exams, make-up exams, exemption exams and single course exams. Exams; Students who cannot take a mid-term exam due to health, natural disaster and other excuses accepted by the related board of directors; In order to accept their excuses, they must submit their health reports or other excuses to the faculty / school secretary within three days. The student's success from a course is determined by the instructor of the course after the final / make-up exam, according to the letter grade given the total of 40% of the mid-term / exams average and 60% of the final / make-up exams. For all students, over 100 grades are adapted to the letter system or 4, which is accepted by the Senate, taking into account the overall level of achievement of the class, the distribution of grades, grade average and standard deviation. A student whose AGNO is at least 2.00 is considered successful if there is not any course (FF), (FD), or (K). Students whose AGNO is below 2.00 are considered unsuccessful. Failed students may repeat the courses they take (DC) and (DD) with the recommendation of the advisor and the approval of the department chair.

Graduation Requirements

Students who have at least 2.00 grade point average out of 4.00 are enrolled in the courses included in the 120 ECTS course plans of the associate degree program. The students who have successfully completed their studies such as internship and graduation project shown in Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Regulations for Associate and Undergraduate Education and Training and Examination are considered to have completed the university education. Students who graduated from the program with the minimum normal course load at the end of the normal education period are 3.00-3.49 and the students who have a CGPA of 3.50-4.00 are entitled to obtain the High Honor Certificate.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates

Organic Agriculture graduates are given the title of ’Organic Farming Technician Organik. It is possible for the graduates of the department to take part in both public and private sector enterprises or establish their own business. The graduates of organic agriculture are very suitable for their own business. Production, import and export operations of organic agricultural products and input materials are available in the retail sector depending on demand in the domestic market. Organic Agriculture business opportunities include: -Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock Province and District Directorates -Research Institutions -Municipalities -Universities -Community Credit Cooperatives - Agricultural Sales Cooperatives - Agricultural Development Cooperatives -Fantering and selling companies Also; There are many departments where organic agriculture graduates can make vertical passes. Those who wish to transfer to a bachelor's degree from the department they have graduated from can enter the DGS after they graduate from their department and they can pass to the following 4-year departments.

Access to Further Studies
